He holds an exhibition in Quelimane and participates 
in the African Association mobile exhibition. 
He starts working in a pasta and biscuit factory 
belonging to his father where he uses the workshops 
to produce iron work.

Mozambique becomes independent. 
He collaborates and exhibits his work in the Popular Art 
Exhibition to celebrate the independence of Mozambique - 
Maputo. 
At an exhibition of Mozambique artists in the 
Palácio Foz in Lisbon he presents a tridimensional 
work, oil on tridimensional - canvas and plastic-; 
"0 Carneiro" (The Ram) - which has since been lost. 
He produces his first sculptures and models 
out of plastics using waste from a plastics factory.
